Steccato Arrested, Charged With Leandra’s Law Violation

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Jeanine Steccato, age 34, of Carmel for driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor), BAC of .08% or more (misdemeanor) and Leandra’s Law (felony) on Rte 55 near Rte 22 in the Town of Pawling on Saturday February 27, 2010 at approximately 9:43pm. Dutchess County STOP-DWI Deputy Neil Stuart made the arrest after stopping the 2001 Chevrolet Malibu  Steccato was operating for failing to yield at a stop sign.  Steccato was arrested for the Leandra’s Law violation since she was intoxicated and one of her passengers was under the age of 16 (a 2 yoa male).  Steccato was released to appear in the Town of Pawling Court March 25, 2010 at 6:30pm.
